Yep, I'm Pregnant

This is a bit late to post, but I couldn't go without putting something up.  We were very happy when we discovered I was pregnant.  We were trying and had been praying that if it was God's will, he would bless us with another child.  I won't go into details but there is one funny aspect to this pregnancy.

We found out I was pregnant with Madison the day before we left for a week long vacation in Mexico.  We had planned to really enjoy the all-inclusive resort, and we did.  I just didn't get to drink any alcohol.  Dan tried to make up for my slack.  I drank bottled water spiked with Crystal Light packets for flavor.  Just not the same as a tasty Pina Colada when you are on the beach.

This time, I had been feeling normal.  No extreme tiredness or odd headaches like I had those early weeks with Madison.  I just knew something was odd.  We had tickets to the Oklahoma Relief Concert by Toby Keith. Garth Brooks and others.  After we left the concert, we only stayed for Garth, we headed to Target to buy a pregnancy test.  That night I took it and was somewhat surprised to see it slowly, very slowly, show I was pregnant.  It's like the test was saying "Hmm....I guess so."  So the next morning, I took another one.  It still took a bit to change but much faster than it did the night before.  With two positive tests I determined that I was, in fact, pregnant.  I shared the news with Dan.  We laughed and hugged.  It was great news but news we wanted to keep to ourselves for a while.  Just to be cautious.

Well, that is the gist of our story.  The pregnancy has been more difficult than it was with Madison.  I've decided I need to have a word with our little one once they arrive.  Momma needs to give the newest Kanatzar a piece of her mind.  I'll share more once we learn if we are having a boy or a girl.

Oh, one last detail.  I took the first test the night before we left for a week's vacation in Florida.  Dan's decided we need to have a ban on long vacations.
